I felt really excited when my sister already booked us months ago for this trip! Believe it or not, it was me and my little sister’s first plane ride AND beach trip together

Funny thing you should know, i was more excited to ride the plane with my little sister. ) I was the one who kept peeping out of the window just to see the the 30,000 ft view of the Philippines, which looks cool at night! Especially the city lights in Manila. Well in Cebu, i expected less city lights, but theirs were almost as many as Manila’s!

I couldn’t take a nice photo of the city lights, so here’s a photo of the sunset instead.

DAY 1

First stop, dinner at Cafe Laguna in Ayala mall.

Next, we woke up pretty early to get ready to go to the beach at Mactan Shangri-La . This beach trip was the highlight of our vacation. It’s been years since we’ve been to a beach! Haha! So we packed lots of sun screen lotion, and of course, we didn’t forget out hats and shades! 8D

So here’s a view of the pool. I was excited to swim again, because it’s been 2-3 months since I last swam. (and the reason that i’m blowing up now.^^)

Since this was shobe’s first beach trip, she really wanted to build some sand castles! Haha! But we weren’t sure if that was possible xD

So we molded a big heart instead!

We even dug a hole for nothing, HAHA!

I can say that my shobe really enjoyed being at the beach, as well as my parents! I can still remember how dad played with us and tried catching some fish! So cute! :”) and how I put sand in his pockets. >:) HAHA, evil me.

I swear I think that I was going to gain lots of weight after this trip. But it’s very occasional for us to go out of town, so might as well enjoy the food! So here’s what I had for lunch at Tides buffet at Mactan Shangri-la .

After our lunch and beach fun at Mactan Shangri-La, we headed back to the hotel before we have our dinner. Since we had too much Filipino cuisine food, we decided to go Vietnamese at Lemon Grass at the Ayala Mall again.

So much for enjoying the food, i wasn’t able to remember the name of the dishes again. -.-” This always happens to me. ) Thank you achi for helping me remember. ) Our day didn’t just end there, my achi’s friend, who lives there in Cebu, invited us for dessert at Dulce.

We got back at the hotel with our tummies REALLY full. o.o And it was our last night in Cebu. sigh.

DAY 3

Oh, Cebu. We weren’t ready to say good bye yet. It was then I realized that those three days were just temporary. A short getaway from all the stress. After all this, we have to pack up our bags and go home. Hai. We didn’t even want to get off the super soft hotel beds yet! I even had a hard time waking shobe up!

First thing we had for that day was our breakfast buffet at the Marriott Hotel.

Garlic rice, egg’s benedict, longganisa and bacon. Filipino-ish style;) I had this kind of breakfast for two days.

Okay! time for our day tour to wrap up our trip! Good bye hotel, hello van! ) It wouldn’t be cool if we didn’t visit the historical places in Cebu. First, we visited the beautiful Taoist temple.

Next stop, the church where Magellan’s cross is located.

Next, to Fort San Pedro.

It’s called Fuerza de San Pedro in Spanish.

Okay, hungry again. Late lunch time at Chika-an in ParkMall before we head out to our final destination!

Last stop, to Mactan International Airport. Hai, it was really time to go home. So much for a permanent vacation. ) I hope we could get this kind of vacation once in a while. This vacation was worthwhile, even if it means gaining pounds (and not exercising. teehee!! ) Thank you, mom, dad, and achi for taking me and shobe to this wonderful trip. >:D< Hopefully we could go out all together next time with dichi and sachi!

It’s Chinese New Year again, and (as always) I expected food! We woke up early in the morning for Ongpin (street in Chinatown where all things chinese are found). But we ate our breakfast first! Grandma prepared it.

for breakfast, we had:

Misua (I don’t really know how it’s called in english ) )

and

Sweet egg

My mom said that these food are very traditional to bring goodluck for the whole year.

I was excited to go to Ongpin! Last time we went there during the new year’s was when I was 8, i guess. I remembered how grand the celebration was. And so I brought a camera just to have a shot of everything we did

So when we got to Ongpin:

This was the first dragon we saw. It was pretty! haha! gold! But we were still in the car , so I haven’t had the chance to take a good photo of this dragon. And so, we went out of the car and started walking!

Yay! another dragon! and many people. haha After we bumped into this dragon, we changed route (too many people. eek! x.x ) But when we reached Shopper’s Mart, we saw this dragon again! lol! There were many people in front of the shop.

After the dancing lion took the angpao, the owner of the shop were throwing candies and angpaos! We didn’t get the chance to get closer, well coz it was very crowded in that area. And all of a sudden, there were two sets of fire crackers (sinturon in hudas) that were lighted. It was nice when the dancing lion was dancing along with the smoke. Too bad I didn’t get a photo of it! I was busy covering my ears )

This is how the street is crowded with people when it’s Chinese New Year. If you look at the right side of the picture, there are many photographers sitting on a car just to get a picture of every moment. ^^

Some people even bought balloons to make a wish before they let go of it.

After walking around, we ate at Wai Ying’s! Well of course! Who would forget the delicious food for such a special ocassion!

Radish cake! yay! It’s very delicious esp when you put sauce on it. Well, since it’s only three pieces (with the four of us on the table :hehe: ) We shared it! Like we did with the hofan noodles!

After celebrating Chinese New Year at Ongpin, we turned to celebrate heart’s day! Since mom’s the only one to give our love on valentine’s day, it was sweet of father to buy her flowers

Last week was Holy Week. How was it? Well,we just stayed at home. We had DVD marathons. We watched Crime Scene Investigator Season 1 on afternoons. And currently in season 2 . My sister actually bought CSI seasons 1-9! We watched Fated to Love You. We just continued from the last scene shown on GMA7, since we really couldn’t wait, we watched it until the end! But I still am thinking of watching it from the start. During the Holy Week, I also finished a Taiwanese series by Ming Dao and Joe Chen, Prince Turns to Frog. REALLY WONDERFUL

Last Saturday, we finally went out of the house :LOL: . We went to the mall, bought stuff. Went clothes shopping with my sister. Bought some cool appliances for the kitchen . And we went to eat dinner in our uncle’s house.

Of course, after Holy Week, everyone’s back to their work and off to school. Again, left alone with my little sister. While she’s playing computer games, I decided to watch another drama . I watched Mike He, Kingone Wang and Rainie Yang’s Why Why Love!! I finished watching it just a while ago.

My eyes are still swollen, the last scenes were really sad and touching.

First off, MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!

I know it’s been a day later. but, I still want to greet all you people out there a Merry Christmas! =)

I wasn’t able to feel the Christmas spirit on the night before it. Because I have no more gifts left to open ) . I opened every gift I got the moment I got them ) . I thank my classmates and friends for giving me cute gifts! Again, I’ve been given turtle stuffs! I really loved what my friend, Sam, gave me. She gave me a Nici turtle pencil case! haha!

And thank you, Ninong Gerwin, for giving me a set of Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Pens! I really liked them =)

For Noche Buena, we prepared lots of food. We made a Buko Salad first. Then a Mango Cheesecake. For dinner, my sister prepared a Chicken Pastel, and my other sis prepared buffalo wings (i think). They were very great! =) Though I haven’t made my specialty, because there were lots of food already. So I’m planning to do it for Medya Noche. During Noche Buena, my sisters prepared gifts for us Thank you! I was really surprised since I haven’t prepared anything for them =/ *keeps in mind to always prepare gifts for the whole family* I really enjoyed that night. We, sisters, even moved to the masters bedroom (where our parents sleep). All of us slept there

Yesterday, we went to church and we were able to meet up with our mother-side relatives on the night. I really missed them! We had lots of laughs while eating. We ate dinner at Sanly’s seafood restaurant. Great food My sister was able to blog about Sanly’s seafood restaurant.

May 11, 2008 | Sunday | Mother’s Day

To make this day special for our mother, we surprised her with in our own creative ways. Well, actually my little sister thought of all the ideas of gifts for her. First, she made a Mother’s Day Card for us, sisters, to write on. Then she found my other sister’s deflated balloons, she told us to inflate it and draw pictures on it and write whatever we want to say to our mom. I would like to take a picture of it but I think they already popped. Then we asked our parents to drop us to the parlor for our haircut and my sisters’ mani-pedi treatment. My hair is short already! and loving it. I told the guy cutting my hair if he could cut my hair short up to my lower chin and I’d like to have bangs. Now, all of us sisters have bangs already! CUTE . Then we went to the mall with our parents to buy some groceries. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms out there!:)

May 12-13, 2008 | Monday- Tuesday | Still Swimming // 6 more sessions. Wonderland Online

I’m really going to miss my swim mates. We swam various kicks with the breaststroke. It was the first time I did it. It wasn’t really hard though. Nothing more to blog about Monday . Yep, my swimming lessons is going to end in 6 more sessions. My little sister discovered a Ragnarok-like game called Wonderland Online. It’s very fun! we took turns playing it. you should try it .

May 14, 2008 | Wednesday | Enrollment and buying of books and uniforms

We woke up 8 in the morning to get ready to go to school and enroll my ourselves for school year 2008-2009. After enrolling, we bought our uniforms and books. But first thing I noticed when we went to the classroom where they sell books is that they’re having a lot constructions again. Luckily, the classrooms were done! But except for the grade 3 classrooms. The newly renovated classrooms have new chalkboards that can be slided and has a white board behind it. And at last, TILED FLOORS. It looks more presentable now . I noticed that my book list has fewer required books than the books we needed last grade 6. Then we need to wear long sleeved uniforms too. Then we bought a lab gown because I also needed it too. It was pretty big because the school only has a size available with a logo on it. I’m very looking forward to high school!

May 15, 2008 | Thursday | Back to the dentist

I woke up 8 in the morning again because I needed to catch up with my dentist appointment before my swimming lessons. I need to go back again next week for my weekly root canal treatment. So I’ve been to the dentist 3 times this month. ugh! Oh well, hope my root canal treatment ends soon! =) When I went home from swimming, I noticed that my sister ordered Katsudon for my lunch. Thanks sis! Really yummy! =) Gosh. It’s already 11:20pm. Need to go to bed! That all I got!

Yesterday wa Black Saturday, we went to Tagaytay. It was so much fun! We left home at 11:00am. We’ve been taking pictures even we havent got in Tagaytay. We took photos of the hills and their plants there such as pineapple. We took a picture of the giant softdrink cans near the tollway. We arrived Tagaytay City at 1:00pm, toom our lunch at Leslie’s Restaurant. There are cool views to take pictures with! I took a picture on the bridge with my sisters. We also took pictures on the kubo which is nearby and owned by the Leslie’s Restaurant, we didn;t eat there, you have to pay extra 500pesos if you’re eating in the kubo. After eating and taking ALOT of pictures there, we went to Taal Vista Hotel. There were slopy grass lands where we can run around and sit around to take pictures again! **vain times on happy moments** We took a picture of the Taal volcano which is visible nearby Taal Vista. We ate Halo Halo and drank coffee with whip cream. **DELICIOUS!** Then we ledt after eating and taking a last shot in Taal Vista Hotel. We bought Colete’s Buko Pie before leaving the wonderful Tagaytay! Oh I miss Tagaytay so much! Then I fell asleep on the way home. I really liked the trip, because the last time we went out of town is when I was in nursery! I wish we can go out of town every year
