Okay, I know I haven’t been updating lately, because I’m always tired from swimming. When I reach home, I always lay down on the bed and suddenly doze off. Anyways, here are my updates. So I’ll start with Sunday.

May 11, 2008 | Sunday | Mother’s Day

To make this day special for our mother, we surprised her with in our own creative ways. Well, actually my little sister thought of all the ideas of gifts for her. First, she made a Mother’s Day Card for us, sisters, to write on. Then she found my other sister’s deflated balloons, she told us to inflate it and draw pictures on it and write whatever we want to say to our mom. I would like to take a picture of it but I think they already popped. Then we asked our parents to drop us to the parlor for our haircut and my sisters’ mani-pedi treatment. My hair is short already! and loving it. I told the guy cutting my hair if he could cut my hair short up to my lower chin and I’d like to have bangs. Now, all of us sisters have bangs already! CUTE . Then we went to the mall with our parents to buy some groceries. Happy Mother’s Day to all moms out there!:)

Finally, I had the chance to dip myself into the swimming pool! I’ve been waiting all summer for this! We started our competitive swimming lessons a while ago. Our time is 11:30-1:00. So I still have to ask my sisters to leave me some food so I can eat lunch when I go home . My first day was fine. I found my swim-mate from last year, well since she’s been swimming since the last batch, we couldn’t be in the same group. I was so glad that the new students with me were friendly, and most are girls *yey!*. I think our swimming lessons this year is better than the last year’s. Because they didn’t teach us the competitive terms last year. And also, they just kept on asking us to do laps and they barely saw and corrected our mistakes. I hope I’d be swimming better after my 12 session swimming lessons .

Moving on… oh yeah, I upgraded my Wordpress 2.5 to 2.5.1 through Fantastico. Still, couldn’t dare to upgrade it manually .

It’s May already. And after one month, it’s back to school again. Sigh…

Well, my weekend was fine, besides that I’ve spent most of the time modifying this pink theme =). Firstly, I learned how to vector. I did this for my sister. She always wanted me to make her one of those :). Click to enlarge please =).

I was too lazy to take a screenshot on the computer, instead, I took this picture from my cellphone camera. I’m so happy she liked it =). Well, this IS my first successful vector of a person.

FINALLY. I finished modifying wp-deisgner’s wordpress theme. It was all blue when I was searching for it. I wanted my site to look very organized, so I searched for a neat wordpress theme. and this is the one I liked the most. I vectored the header image. I was getting tired of pixelling or scribbling. I edited the pages and added the tabifier. If you want to comment, it’s on the left side with a flower smiling below =). I think it’s hard to locate for some viewers. Hope you all like my new pink theme! Anyways, I’m working on our portfolio (me and my sister’s). I’ll announce it as soon as we’re done with it. Ciao!

So far, my summer’s been fine, and somewhat exciting. I do the same thing everyday! I want to go swimming soon. Well our swimming sessions starts on May 7. I can’t wait! My best friend’s coming with me (hopefully). I really miss swimming so much! my summer wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t swim at least once :). I’ve already finished 2 books in our summer reading inventory. The second book that I read was The Alchemist. It’s a very nice book. Now I need 2 more books to finish my summer requirements. Next book that I’ll read is Twice Upon a Time (Sleeping Beauty- one who took the really long nap). I haven’t read this when I bought it from the Scholastics Book Fair. I didn’t have time.

I apologize for not updating for almost 2 weeks. I’ve been up to something. I’ll tell you soon [^-*], as soon as I’m finished. I’ve been experimenting some vector-like pictures from Adobe Illustrator. I had so much fun! The picture you see in my post is one of my experiments. That’s my best for now :P. I’m trying to learn more from my sister who studied Multi Media Arts. I’ve been also playing with my sister’s Nikon D40 camera. I’m actually learning! And it’s been fun!
